Vitamins and goji berries

Vitamins or vital amines are actually essential amino acids. Deficiency in vitamins can lead to various forms of ailments such as Beri Beri (caused by deficiency of vitamin B1 also known as thiamin), Rickets (caused by deficiency of vitamin D), Night blindness (caused by deficiency of vitamin A), Ariboflavinosis (caused by deficiency of vitamin B2 or riboflavin), Anemia (caused by deficiency of vitamin B6), and so on.
There are about 13 such vitamins. Human beings get their vitamins from food. The body retrieves these vitamins from foods rich in such nutrients. Generally, such vitamins are found in fruits, and vegetables. But most of these fruits may contain only a few of these vitamins, and the quantities of these vitamins may also differ. For example, oranges are rich in vitamin C or Ascorbic acid, the deficiency of which can cause scurvy. Likewise, carrots are ideal sources of beta-carotene. This means people have to consume more quantities of different types of food to get all the nutrients. There are a few nutrition dense fruits such as goji berries that have many of these essential vitamins, minerals, and elements. By consuming these berries, it is possible to avoid many other fruits, and vegetables, effectively reducing diet, and weight.
