My Favorite Crockpot Soup

Crockpots are perfect for cooking soup and this corn potato chowder recipe is one of my favorites. It’s perfect for a cold fall day and makes for a hardy meal. I like to serve it with a nice loaf of homemade bread and a slice of pie for dessert. This works out great for us on a busy weekday. I just start both the crockpot and the breadmaker in the morning, and then just go about my busy day. Making Soup in a Copper Bottom Stainless Stockpot

Around this time of year our family starts eating a lot of turkey for dinner. I think we end up enjoying a Thanksgiving-style dinner every few weeks. We make a big turkey or turkey breast with different sides like stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, biscuits, or whatever we’re in the mood for that week. While we have days worth of leftovers to enjoy, we also save the turkey carcass to make delicious homemade turkey soup.
