A Great Water Filtration System For a Great Price!

April 14th, 2009 by admin

Replacing bottled water with either a under the sink or a countertop water filtration system is a really good idea in this economy. The cost of bottled water can easily exceed $3.00 a gallon. Plus, the contribution to our landfills isn’t the same  value as making a charity contribution. Then there is the quality of bottled versus filtered right at your tap. That bottled water that has the chlorine taken out may have been sitting on a shelf for a while. Can’t be that great.

What our family did was purchase a Aquasana AQ-4000 counter top filter for our home. This inexpensive unit is less than a hundred dollars and it’s cartridges last over six months or 500 gallons. The pitcher type units like Britta only last 30-40 gallons are much more expensive to use. The Aquasana unit is less than 10 cents a gallon and the Britta’s are close to 50 cents a gallon. We got ours from Better Water Store a large online water filter supplier. They include free shipping and sell at a discount price. Hook up was super simple. We were up and going within five minutes of opening the box. After running a  little water through the filter we tried it. Great tasting water!
